KRALENDIJK, November 25, 2020 – On November 23, the 250th loan from Qredits Bonaire was granted to entrepreneur John Cecilia. With this loan, he can make the desired expansion for his business 'Rijschool Sicurezza' a reality. Qredits has been active on Bonaire since 2015. Both start-up and existing entrepreneurs can borrow up to $50,000 to start or grow their business.
A representative from the Public Entity Bonaire and Jenilee Schotborgh, Business Advisor at Qredits, handed over a symbolic check to entrepreneur John Cicilia. John is a local entrepreneur, known as an ambulance driver and an instructor of first aid courses. In 2016, he started his own driving school to fulfill his passion from a young age. Teaching gives John fulfillment and motivates him to keep his knowledge up to date, while also ensuring the growth and development of his business.
Qredits Bonaire aims to strengthen entrepreneurship on Bonaire by offering Microcredits up to $50,000 to (starting) entrepreneurs. They also provide personal coaching and resources focused on the development of the entrepreneur and their business. Existing entrepreneurs can also apply for a corona bridging loan of up to $25,000 to help them survive the current crisis. The interest rate on the loan is only 2% during the first year.
Since late 2015, Qredits has been based on Bonaire, located at Kaya Industria 15-G. Many loan applications have been submitted, with 250 businesses financed to date. These businesses span diverse sectors, all of which faced financing challenges and sought that extra support.
Qredits clients also receive advice, free guidance, and training, as Qredits offers more than just loans.
